Baby Orangutan

I’m working on a commission for a Christmas present.

The person is very fond of monkeys, mainly Orangutangos. After I searched I decided to make a baby one and of course I’m doing it in my style.

Here’s a little clip from the work so far.

I have started this sculpture a long ago but because I didn’t have a bigger kiln, she was left on shelf waiting. But finally my big kiln is working fine and I was able to carry on with her, she is on the last stage now, I have done the oxides and glazes, so this week she will┬ábe fired, and I am looking forward to it.

Meeting Chris Bryant

The Workers Gallery's (@wood4tt) yesterday, introduced myself (@zepart) and Lara (@larawoolley) to Chris Bryant (@RhonddaBryant) Labour MP for Rhondda and Shadow Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport. He came to have a look and to know a little bit more about the gallery, and it seems that he liked the gallery and its proposal. It is great to have a young politician with a good energy supporting the arts. It was a plesure to meet him.
