We still have some places available, come and have fun in our friendly workshops.

It’s pretty hard to believe

Will this turn into a studio?? It’s pretty hard to believe … watch this space!!!

Last Day

After a week of hard work, we reached the end of production of tiles. We produce more than needed, so that when the time to assemble the mosaic comes I will have enough good quality tiles to make the size that was commissioned. Here are some photos of the children’s work, they are already all with under glazes and are now drying, so we can burn them. This will now take a little time, as I have to apply the clear coat of glaze, and burn again. Only after all this done, I will shatter the tiles and assemble the mosaic.

Second day of the mosaic mural

Today was again a very good day. We made more tiles in the morning and we started to apply the glazes in the afternoon. Here are some photos of the day, the children are very creative. The results are being very good.

New project

Well, what a day! Today I gave start to a mini public art. The commission is to make a mosaic mural, which is not very large, on one of the external wall of Penrhys Partnership building. This project is a collaboration of several children from Penrhys area. The work was exhausting, but tremendously rewarding. Some of the children have produced fantastic things. I really liked the work process, and I feel this is going to be a very special and valuable experience.

Here are some examples of today’s work.
